Danara is an interdisciplinary artist and an industrial engineer born in Almaty, Kazakhstan (1989) and grew up in Turkey before moving to New York, NY. Because she was exposed to different cultures and educational systems she became both an artistic and an analytical person. Due to her background she developed a holistic approach developing projects. Danara’s focus in her work is that each interaction that she establishes among people using software and technologies is meaningful and makes people think about relevant issues. Danara got her masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and interested in implementations and moral issues of computer vision, machine learning and surveillance technologies with conceptual art work.
